John recently played Doc in Beauty and the Beast for Parkwood Theatres at the Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone in December and appeared in a short dance film: Zorros

Deep Pit
(Brassworks Theatre)

“In the middle of the drama, occurs an intense scene down in the mine where a collapse traps Jack with the boss's lackey, Mr Bridges, excellently portrayed by John Conway, who proves doubly versatile by juggling the role of Bridges with Pastor Jeffries. Both these characters pop in & out several times & the two are so clearly distinguished that this reviewer did not realize until studying the programme that both personalities are played by one very fine actor.” - Remotegoat review

"...and the versatile John Conway impresses in multiple scenes as Princess Jasmine’s father, The Emperor (coping admirably with a myriad of ‘shortist’ jokes)."

Bio: John started acting, singing and dancing whilst at school, following in his mother's semi-professional footsteps. After being raised on Gilbert & Sullivan and many of the standards of musical theatre, John’s experience now includes many genres of theatre, films, commercials, music hall, cabaret, a little choreography, corporate role-play, a turn on a unicycle and some juggling. A variety of characters appear on John’s CV, including a supercilious lawyer, a distraught father, a ratman, a manic museum curator, a vampire, an early 19th century bailiff and a victim of brutal interrogation. John has also appeared in new works, both musicals and plays, and one of the latter received a 4* review with a special mention for John’s excellent and versatile portrayal of two very different characters. Life as an actor rarely gets more varied!
